Ambassador Xu Yingzhen Attends Working Meeting on Bilateral Cooperation

On February 11, the Chinese Ambassador to São Tomé and Príncipe, Xu Yingzhen, attended a working meeting on bilateral cooperation in the Council of Ministers’ meeting room. His Excellency, Prime Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe, Américo Ramos, and the ministers were also present.


Ambassador Xu presented the results of cooperation between China and São Tomé and Príncipe and the progress of projects in the fields of agriculture, health, infrastructure, etc. Xu also expressed China’s willingness to work closely with the government of São Tomé and Príncipe to jointly implement the results of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit to achieve more achievements in practical cooperation between the two countries.


Ramos thanked China for its long-term valuable support for the economic and social development of São Tomé and Príncipe and said that São Tomé and Príncipe attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China to create a new situation of cooperation between the two countries.
