China last week donated personal protection equipment for artisanal fishing worth US$30,000 to Guinea-Bissau, online media Macauhub reported.

The Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) aims to increase the number of students from Portuguese-speaking Countries by 2017, said its President, Lei Heong Iok.

Portuguese group Visabeira has signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese Beijing Urban Construction Group. The aim is to jointly develop businesses in different areas, including infrastructure, public works, energy and property, Portuguese newspaper Público reported last week.

China imported 33 million tons of soybeans from Brazil in the first nine months of 2015, up by 15.3 percent from a year earlier, the Chinese Embassy in Brazil said in a statement.
