The Chinese company Sul Americana de Metais (SAM) and CGN Brasil Energia signed on the 27th of September a protocol of intent with the State Secretariat for Economic Development of Minas Gerais (SEDE) for the construction of a solar park in the northern region of Minas Gerais state, with start-up scheduled for 2024. The agreement includes the creation of a joint venture through which 3 billion reais will be invested in the venture.

Oil and gas producer Repsol Sinopec Brasil and Brazilian company TideWise developed the ARIEL Project (Autonomous Robot for Identification of Emulsified Liquids) and the USIS Project (Uncrewed Subsea Inspection System). Repsol Sinopec Brasil is a joint venture between the Spanish Repsol Group (60%) and the Chinese Sinopec Group (40%).

The inauguration of the new school of the University of Lisbon – the ULisboa School of Shanghai University – took place during the Global University Presidents’ Forum, under the theme “Reshaping Universities for the Future: Mission and Innovation”, which took place in Shanghai on the 23rd of September 2022. This is the first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution between China and Portugal established in Mainland China.
