The Federal University of Ceará, Brazil and the University of Saint Joseph of the SAR of Macao signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the 31st of August at the Confucius Institute of the UFC, aiming to establish and consolidate strategic alliances between the two universities.

The Office of Foreign Affairs of Sichuan Province announced on the 1st of September that the Chinese government and the government of the Federative Republic of Brazil have reached an agreement on the establishment of a consulate general of Brazil in Chengdu, with consular districts covering the city of Chongqing and the provinces of Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Shaanxi. This is the third consulate general of Brazil in China.

Brazilian logistics company Santos Brasil purchased two state-of-the-art container cranes and two empty container handlers. This equipment totals R$130 million and is part of the second phase of the project to expand and modernize Tecon Santos. This is the first purchase of a series of equipment that the company plans to make this year.

The Chonguene district, in Gaza province, will have a new port, announced the prime minister of Mozambique, Adriano Maleiane, on the 27th of August. The construction of the port of Chonguene will be financed by the Chinese company Ding Sheng Minerals.
