The Brazilian Association of Export Processing Zones (Abrazpe) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade of Xiamen (CCPIT Xiamen), which is a port city located on the southeast coast of China (Fujian province) with 4.29 million inhabitants, signed an economic and technological cooperation agreement in São Paulo on the 13rd of January. The event – China (Xiamen)-Brazil Economic and Trade Conference – was held in a hybrid format (face-to-face with online participation).

WIN Solar, a distributor of solar equipment belonging to the All Nations Group, closed a contract with the Chinese manufacturer of photovoltaic solar modules, ZNShine. The first order totals around 50 megawatts (MW) in generators, with the proposal to supply the stock to meet the demands of distributed generation projects in homes and businesses in Brazil.

Two varieties of transgenic sugarcane produced in Brazil were approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of China on the 13th of January. They are CTC20Bt and CTC9001Bt, which were developed by the Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira (CTC) and have 100% national technology.
