According to a company statement, Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) is supporting construction work on 72 kilometers of the Bangula-Marka railway line, linking the districts of Mutarara and Malawi. The Chinese company CR20 is responsible for the construction of the Malawian Railway. The works are already being completed at a rate of 17%.

A new air cargo service connecting the coastal city of Xiamen in southeastern China to São Paulo in Brazil was launched on the 10th of February.
