Chinese interested in the agricultural sector in Angola

A group of Chinese businessmen is visiting Angola in April this year with the aim of investing in the agricultural sector, namely in the production of rice, maize, beans and cassava. Formed as an association of nine companies, the group of Chinese businessmen intends to operate in the provinces of Malange, Bié, Huambo, Zaire and Luanda.

Speaking to Angop, the deputy chairman of the board of the Association of Chinese Residents in Angola said that the association also intends to act in the sector of distribution of agricultural inputs, with great reference to the importation of twenty thousand tons of fertilizer.

“It is necessary to create conditions that facilitate private investment, as there are many Chinese businessmen who intend to invest in Angola,” he said.
