The first offline screening of the documentary Inspiring Greater Bay Area China: A French Sinologist’s Investigation of Southern China, presented to guests and audiences from China and Portuguese-speaking countries a vivid portrayal of cultural, social, and developmental aspects in southern China, particularly the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), showcasing a new landscape of the Bay Area brimming with vitality, opportunities, and hope. It is a work that combines profound cross-cultural observation with humanistic warmth. Simultaneously, the documentary’s creator, Director Tang Lina, and the book’s author, Sinologist David Gosset, were present on site to engage and exchange with the audience. In addition, Sinologist David Gosset presented copies of Inspiring Greater Bay Area China to representatives of relevant institutions. The aforementioned documentary works will be screened offline at the IAM Gallery and at select schools in Macao, provided to television stations in Portuguese-speaking countries for broadcasting, and uploaded to the official website of the Forum Macao, thereby strengthening civilizational mutual learning between China and Portuguese-speaking countries through the medium of documentaries.
