The Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (APAVT) has presented the official program for its 50th Congress, which will take place in Macau from December 1 to 5, 2025, under the slogan “Encounter with the Future.”

This edition celebrates half a century of APAVT congresses, reaffirming “the Association's role as a space for debate, unity, and strategic vision for Portuguese tourism,” according to the press release. The event already has more than 800 registered participants and promises to be one of APAVT's most memorable meetings ever, bringing together Portugal, China, and the entire Portuguese-speaking world.

“Celebrating the 50th Congress in Macau is, at the same time, a return to the origins of our connection with Asia and a projection of the future of Portuguese tourism. This program reflects the ambition to debate the major issues of today, promote dialogue between cultures, and affirm the role of travel agencies in the transformation of the sector,” emphasizes Pedro Costa Ferreira, president of APAVT.
