Recently, the president of the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIBC), Charles Andrew Tang, visited Folha de Pernambuco. He was welcomed by the president of the EQM Group and founder of the newspaper, Eduardo de Queiroz Monteiro, by the executive director Paulo Pugliesi, by the operational director José Américo Lopes Góis, and by the editor-in-chief, Leusa Santos.
During the meeting, topics such as the potential of the sugar and ethanol sector in Pernambuco and Brazil for exporting citric acid to China were discussed, as well as opportunities for commercial partnerships with the agribusiness sector.
The executive pointed out that the Brazilian sugar and alcohol sector could gain even more international relevance, considering that China is a major producer and importer of the commodity, which has a billion-dollar global market.
