Santa Catarina’s state deputy, Mário Motta, brought together representatives from the Tang Chinese Education company and the State Education Directorate (SED) to take a decisive step towards launching the Para Mudar de Vida project. The initiative, proposed by the parliamentarian's office, aims to take 120 secondary school students from the state network to study technology at the main institutions in China, promote training and strengthen ties with the Asian country.
The project has an investment of R$1 million from the congressman's office, won by the Brazil Institute through the Call for Participatory Amendments. These funds will go towards language training for students in Mandarin level 4. During the meeting, the deputy's chief of staff, Michel Andrade, highlighted the importance of the project as a bridge to attract Chinese investment to the state and strengthen relations with China.
In Brazil, the organization is represented by lawyer and former federal judge Marlon Reis. "We are confident of the success of this partnership, as we understand the need to expand technological exchanges between China and Brazil. We offer a platform adapted for teaching Mandarin and we are ready to start negotiations," he said.
