On May 16, Brazil's Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, highlighted the progress made during his official mission to China alongside President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. He celebrated the agreements signed between the governments and companies of the two countries, which should generate direct investment in strategic areas for national development, especially in the health industry.
Among the main results, Rui highlighted the future production in Brazil of cutting-edge medical equipment, such as MRI machines and linear accelerators for cancer treatment, as well as other imaging devices. Partnerships have also been consolidated for the production of vaccines, medicines and biological drugs with technology shared between Brazil and China.
“This area is one of those that has made the most progress in terms of concrete agreements, with a direct and immediate impact on the lives of the Brazilian population and on our productive capacity,” said the Minister of the Civil House.
