GWM is about to take an important step into the Brazilian market with the opening of its factory in Iracemápolis, São Paulo. This venture is scheduled to begin in June 2025.
Initial production will include the Haval H6 (a type of compact SUV) range, which will start in August. In 2026, the Poer pickup truck will get a national version with a diesel enginein to further enrich its product range.
The third model to be manufactured in Brazil will be a large 4×4 SUV, the Haval H9, with strong off-road performance and stability based on the same platform as the Poer, equipped with a body on a spar chassis. Equipped with a 2.4 turbodiesel engine, the Haval H9 promises a power output of 186 hp and a torque of 48.9 kgfm in other markets. However, GWM is revising these specifications for the Brazilian market, hoping to deliver even higher figures.
