The Ministry of Tourism has taken another strategic step to expand Brazil's presence in the Chinese outbound market. During an official visit to Beijing, the ministry's executive secretary, Ana Carla Machado, discussed the implementation of an electronic visa application system for Chinese tourists, a measure that should facilitate access to Brazil and boost the growth of tourist flows in the coming years.

In Beijing, Ana Carla Machado met with the Minister Counselor of the Brazilian Embassy in China, Rafael Leme, as well as members of the consular sector, to align advances and perspectives related to visa policy and bilateral cooperation in tourism.

During the meeting, the executive secretary highlighted China's leading role in issuing visas for Brazil and the progress already made between the two countries. “Beijing is the global leader in issuing visas for foreign tourists in Brazil. The country is now the main destination for Chinese tourists in Latin America,” she said.
