Recently, Brasil de Fato announced the signing of a journalistic cooperation agreement with the Chinese portal Guancha.cn, expanding popular communication networks between countries in the Global South. The agreement, entitled “Journalistic Cooperation for a Global Popular Vision,” lays the foundation for editorial collaboration between the two outlets.

The partnership seeks to give readers in China access to popular perspectives on Brazil and vice versa. The media outlets also aim to develop joint informational material initiatives, something that has been little explored between Asian and Latin American media to date.

“As two media outlets with profound political influence in China and Brazil, the conclusion of the strategic cooperation agreement between Guancha and Brasil de Fato means that the two largest countries on the planet, despite their distance, have gained another link of information and culture, opening up broader possibilities,” said Guancha editor-in-chief He Shenquan.
