The Port of Itajaí recently welcomed a delegation of Brazilian and Chinese business leaders to learn more about the port complex's operations and evaluate business opportunities.
The superintendent of the Port of Itajaí, João Paulo Tavares Bastos, presented the business leaders with the first half results and the Federal Government's investment plan, which provides for R$844 million for the modernization and expansion of port infrastructure.
During the meeting, possibilities for logistical, educational, cultural, and economic integration between Itajaí and China were discussed. For the delegation, the rapprochement strengthens bilateral trade and broadens the prospects for cooperation in various sectors.
With consistent results and room for growth, the Port of Itajaí reaffirms its strategic role in Brazil's integration into the main international trade routes, market diversification, and strengthening of the national economy.
