The Macau Scientific and Cultural Center (CCCM) in Lisbon will host the third edition of the Introduction to Patuá Language course, a training program that aims to promote and preserve this Portuguese-based creole language, enriched with African, Malay, and Chinese influences. The course will run from September 15 to November 27 and will be taught in Portuguese.

The course has been designed as a series of dynamic classes that aim not only to teach the basics of this creole language, but also to highlight its value as a unique linguistic heritage. The initiative is part of the CCCM's mission to promote knowledge and intercultural dialogue between Portugal and Macau.

In addition to the Patuá course, the CCCM promotes other training courses that reflect the cultural richness shared between Portugal and Macau. The Chinese Zither (Gujin) course, scheduled to begin on September 23, is another opportunity to explore Chinese culture through this traditional instrument.
