The China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China's largest overseas oil company, recently reported that 24 ultra-deepwater suction anchors of 2,000 meters, manufactured in China, have left Zhuhai for Brazil.

This is one of the deepest offshore oil and gas anchors ever delivered abroad. The anchors will be installed in the Mero oil field, located in the Santos Basin, off the southeast coast of Brazil.

The suction anchor is an essential piece of equipment for anchoring in deep waters. It can anchor itself firmly to the seabed like a large suction cup, allowing ocean installations to be secured efficiently. In addition, the country delivered world-class deepwater drilling equipment to Petrobras, such as the P-67 and P-70 FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading) platforms, signaling the deepening of Sino-Brazilian cooperation in the field of offshore energy equipment.
