Angola wants culture to serve as a bridge to bring nations closer together and promote peace

The promotion of peace, harmonious dialogue, and the consolidation of solidarity among peoples and nations in a civilized world dominated the 8th Taihu World Culture Forum, held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.


Speaking at the event, the Vice President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, highlighted the power of culture to unite peoples and strengthen trust between nations in the context of cultural exchange.


According to the Vice President of the Republic, today's world is marked by interconnectivity and challenged by profound transformations resulting from the process of globalization and technological advances, which have “profoundly” changed the way societies live, produce, and relate to each other.


During the event, which brought together more than 500 individuals, the Vice President noted that Angola has promoted a culture of tolerance, which is consolidated every day, and is deeply committed to national reconciliation, gender equality, social justice, development, and unity in cultural diversity.
