Brazil–China partnership: Port of Rio signs memorandum

The Port of Rio de Janeiro recently welcomed a delegation from Hubei Province, China, on a trade mission. The meeting concluded with a Memorandum of Understanding between PortosRio and Yichang Port Group Co., paving the way for cooperation, new logistics routes, and attracting investment.


The delegation also visited the facilities and operations of the Port of Rio de Janeiro, reinforcing the agenda of integration and recognition of operational capabilities.


The president of PortosRio, Flavio Vieira, said: “The partnership with Yichang Port Group Co. paves the way for strategic exchange between the ports of Rio de Janeiro and Hubei Province. This Memorandum of Understanding reinforces our commitment to expanding global connections, attracting investment, and strengthening the Port of Rio's position as an international logistics hub, directly contributing to the economic development of Brazil and China.”
