The Minister of Integration and Regional Development of Brazil, Waldez Góes, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Deputy Minister of the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Changlin, emphasizing interconnectivity and sustainable regional development.
The memorandum formalizes the consensus reached between the presidents of the two countries to elevate bilateral relations to the level of a Brazil-China Community with a Shared Future. With the aim of strengthening the performance of local governments and improving the quality of life of the population, the agreement recognizes the importance of policies and projects aimed at reducing territorial inequalities.
Minister Waldez Góes confirmed that bilateral cooperation between China and Brazil represents a strategic opportunity for the exchange of experiences, technical knowledge, and best practices in public policies aimed at territorial inclusion and the reduction of inequalities.
