Recently, on an institutional agenda in Rio de Janeiro, the vice-governor of Acre do Brasil, Mailza Assis, met with Márcia Wu, vice-president of the Zhejiang Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce and secretary-general of the Brazil-China Chamber of Cultural Exchange. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Superintendence of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) and aimed to strengthen institutional and diplomatic ties, promoting the state as a strategic logistical and economic route.
“Acre has a unique strategic position in the country. This puts us in the spotlight as a link between Brazil and the markets of Peru, Bolivia and, above all, Asia,” emphasized Mailza.
One of the main topics discussed at the meeting was the Acre Export Processing Zone (ZPE-AC), located in Senador Guiomard, which offers a special customs regime, tax exemption for exports and a structure for setting up various industries.
