On February 3, 2025, the Investment Promotion and Trade Cooperation Conference between China (Inner Mongolia) and Brazil took place in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was co-organized by the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China and the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
At the promotion conference, Mr. Luo Qing, director general of the Department of Commerce of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Márcia Nejaim, president of the Southeast Region of Apex-Brasil, highlighted the strengths of their respective economies and opportunities for regional cooperation. Both leaders emphasized the potential for expanding collaboration in areas such as modern energy, industrial diversification, deep processing of the modern agricultural industry and ecological governance.
The conference produced fruitful results, with 17 cooperation projects and agreements signed in various sectors, including commercial transactions and partnerships between sister cities. The total value of the contracts is almost 10 billion yuan. In addition to traditional sectors such as farming, food and dairy, both sides also expressed interest in exploring cooperation in renewable energy plants, biopharmaceuticals, chemical engineering and other fields.
