On February 7, 2025, the University of Luanda held the opening ceremony for the Mandarin course in the amphitheater of the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (INSTIC).
The event brought together teachers, administrative staff and students. It was chaired by the Magnificent Rector of the University of Luanda, Professor Alfredo Gabriel Buza, and was attended by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China accredited to Angola, Zhang Bin. The president of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce, Luís Cupenala. The Rector of Agostinho Neto University, Professor Pedro Magalhães. The Director General of the Confucius Institute, Zhao Yufeng.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Zhang Bin said that in recent years, cultural and economic relations between Angola and China have become more dynamic and the movement of people between the two countries has also increased. The number of Chinese citizens in Angola and the number of Angolan citizens in China has grown rapidly. “Language deepens friendship and strengthens people-to-people relations and certainly leads to more fruitful and beneficial interpersonal relations,” he said.
