The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) is joining a business delegation to Zhongshan, in Mainland China, on November 26 and 27. The delegation, organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), will take part in the Macao and Zhongshan Branded Products Fair 2015.

A High-Level Seminar on Tourism and MICE between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries was held on November 13 at MGM Macau’s hotel.

Ministers from Lusophone countries visited the Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Pavilion at the Macau International Travel (Industry) Expo in the morning of November 13. The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) set up the Pavilion for the third consecutive year at the show.

The High-Level Seminar of Tourism and MICE between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries will be organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), with the presence of high-level officials from Mainland China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries in Macao.

Ms Cristina Gomes Pinto Morais has officially taken office as the new Coordinator of the Support Office to the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao. She was confirmed in her post at a swearing-in ceremony on November 6 led by the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Leong Vai Tac.

The “East Timor: From the mountains to the sea” Workshop took place on the afternoon of November 5, at Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute’s (IPIM) Macao Business Support Centre. IPIM and the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) – also known as Forum Macao – jointly organised the event.

The opening ceremony was held on November 6.

In order to help transform Macao into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure, and to promote cooperation in tourism between Mainland China, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries, the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) will – for the third consecutive year – set up a Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Pavilion at the Macau International Travel (Industry) Expo.

The Training Centre of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) is organising a Seminar for Portuguese-speaking Countries regarding Inspection of Economic and Trade Activities.

The Workshop on business opportunities in fishing and processing of fishery products in Portuguese-speaking Countries took place on the afternoon of October 23, at Cotai Expo, the convention and exhibition centre of the Venetian Macao.

The Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Pavilion is playing a central role at the Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), which is in its 20th edition this year.
