A delegation with representatives from the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and from the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, will visit the cities of Lisbon, in Portugal, and Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, in Brazil, between November 20 and 25.

The closing ceremony and certificate presentation for the “Workshop on Tourism and the MICE Industry for Portuguese-speaking Countries” was held at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Grand Lisboa on October 27. The workshop was hosted by the Training Centre of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), and administered by the City University of Macau.

A delegation from Portugal headed by the country’s Secretary of State of Internationalisation, Mr Eurico Brilhante Dias, visited the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) on October 17. The group was joined by the Consul General of Portugal for Macao and Hong Kong, Mr Vítor Sereno.

Guinea-Bissau’s Secretary of State for Regional Planning and Integration, Mr José Biai, visited the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) on the morning of October 23. The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) organised on the morning of October 20 the “Roundtable Meeting between Leaders of Provinces and Municipalities of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries”. The event was held at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.

The “7th Jiangsu – Macau – Portuguese-speaking Countries Business Forum” is being held in Macao between October 19 and 21. The event included the “2nd Meeting of the Jiangsu – Macau – Portuguese-speaking Countries Business Forum Council”, held in the afternoon of October 20 at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.

China’s Jiangsu Province is organising the “7th Jiangsu – Macau – Portuguese-speaking Countries Business Forum”, being held from October 19 to 21. The Business Forum features a number of high-profile activities, including: the opening ceremony; a presentation about Suqian prefecture; a Jiangsu crabmeat tasting session; and a meeting of the Working Group for Promoting Trade and Investment Cooperation between Jiangsu

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) has again installed a Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Pavilion at the “Macao International Trade and Investment Fair” (MIF), which marked its 22nd edition this year.

Four artists from, respectively, Brazil, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Macao have been invited to exhibit individually during the 9th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

The opening ceremony of the 9th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries was held at the Tromba Rija restaurant in Macau Tower on October 17. The Cultural Week isjointly organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), and was co-organised by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office.

A delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), led by the Deputy Secretary-General, Dr. Rodrigo Brum, visited Guangzhou, in Guangdong Province, from October 14 to 15, to participate in the 122nd China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). The delegation visited several pavilions at the Fair and exchanged views with business people.

The “3rd Young Entrepreneurs Forum of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” took place at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel on October 18.
