A Seminar on the 15th Anniversary of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) – a body also known as Forum Macao –, and the positioning of Macao as a Platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, was held in Macao on March 21.

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, held gatherings on March 16 with, respectively, representatives of the Central Government in the Macao SAR and with members of the local media.

The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), in cooperation with the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (Macao) started this year’s training program tailored for civil servants from tourism offices of Portuguese-speaking countries.

A Delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, visited Beijing between January 28 and February 1.

The closing ceremony and certificate presentation for the “Workshop on Commercial Law for Portuguese-speaking Countries” was held at MGM Hotel on December 18, 2017. The workshop was hosted by the Training Centre of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), and administered by the City University of Macau.

The “China-Brazil Economic and Trade Seminar: Cooperation on Trade, Investment and Production Capacity under the Framework of Forum Macao” was held in São Paulo on November 24. The seminar was organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM)

The second meeting of the “Working Group on Cooperation in Capacity Production” – under the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) – was held in Beijing on December 4.

A delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) visited the Chinese city of Qingdao from December 6 to 8.

The “Working Group on Investment” – under the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) – took part in an exchange session in Beijing on December 4.

A delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), together with the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, headed to Portugal on November 20, as the “China-Portugal Enterprises Economic and Commercial Meeting” was being held. During its official trip, the delegation visited Portuguese public departments and companies.

The “China-Brazil Enterprises Economic and Commercial Meeting” was held in Rio de Janeiro on November 21. The event was co-organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and the municipal government of Rio de Janeiro.

The “China-Portugal Enterprises Economic and Commercial Meeting: Cooperation on Trade, Investment and Production Capacity within Forum Macao” has been held in Lisbon on November 20, followed by a trade exchange cocktail.
