On 26 June, within the period of the Covid-19 epidemic, Mr Rodrigo Brum, Deputy Secretary-General of Forum Macao, participated in a Webinar held by the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The third session in the series of Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19 will be held at 8pm Beijing time (9am Brazil time) on 30 June. The session is themed “Cooperation in Fighting the Epidemic using Traditional Medicine”.

Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19 will be held in series form on respectively June 16, June 23, June 30 and July 7, aiming to promote a global cooperation effort in tackling the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the overall impact of the pandemic linked to the novel coronavirus, the 127th edition of the China Import and Export Fair – an event also known as Canton Fair – is being held exclusively online, from June 15 to 26.

The launch ceremony of the “Report on the Evolution of Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (2018-2019)” took place on May 13, 2020 at the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST).

The Portuguese-speaking member-states of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) are feeling the impact of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus as it moves around the world.

A meeting to review the external evaluation report on the achievements over the past 15 years of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) took place on January 16 and 17 in Macao. More than 30 participants attended the meeting.

A delegation led by the Assistant Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Mr Ren Hongbin visited on January 16 the office of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao). He was accompanied by the Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), Ms Li Huaying.

The fourth meeting of the “Working Group on Cooperation in Capacity Production” of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) was held on December 16, in Beijing, to help implement Forum Macao’s “Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Co-operation in Production Capacity”.

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, the Consulate-General of China in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the governments of the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, and the Brazil-China Business Council, co-organised on December 9 a seminar on innovation in international trade in services.
