The Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Mr Ji Xianzheng, paid visits to the Consul-General of the Republic of Angola in the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), Mr Eduardo Velasco Galiano, and to the Consul-General of the Republic of Mozambique in the MSAR, Mr Rafael Custódio Marques, on January 14 and 17, respectively.

The new Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Mr Ji Xianzheng, took up office on January 10.

A total of 500 people visited the 17-day “Angola – My Love” exhibition, which ended on December 30, featured work by Angolan artist Mr Álvaro Macieira, and was organised in tandem with three workshops. The initiative was part of the exhibition series “Lusophone Polychromes”, part of the 13th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

The inauguration ceremony for the “Angola – My Love” exhibition, which features work by Angolan artist Mr Álvaro Macieira, was held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex, on December 14 (Tuesday), at 6.30pm.

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) is taking part in the 26th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) and the 2021 Portuguese-Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) (PLPEX).

A total of 300 people visited the 17-day “Memória e Presença” exhibition, which ended on December 5, and featured work by Timor-Leste artist Mr Inu Bere. It was part of the exhibition series “Lusophone Polychromes”, within the 13th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries that is organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

The launch of the Investment Guides on Portuguese-speaking Countries, the first such series of guides edited and published by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), a body also known as Forum Macao, was held on December 3 at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex. Deputy Secretary-General of Forum Macao, Mr Ding Tian, delivered a speech.

The Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, jointly hosted the “2021 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair – Portuguese-speaking Countries Product Promotion” at the Venetian Macao’s convention and exhibition centre, on November 26.

The Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao held with the collaboration of the Guangdong-Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park the first session of an online training course on the use of traditional medicine to tackle COVID-19. The training course was supported by the Macao SAR Government Health Bureau, and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People’s Republic of China.
