The finalists of the Contest for Promotional Videos on Portuguese-speaking Countries, a competition jointly hosted by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum Macao and the Macao Polytechnic Institute, have been selected from entries made by 24 teams. The finalists will now vie for the most votes, via online voting, and the corresponding special prize.

The China-Brazil International Fair for Trade in Services is being held online between August 30 and September 16, 2021. This event is co-organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-Operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao),

The inauguration ceremony for the “Different encounters” exhibition, featuring work by Mozambican artist José Estevão Manhiça, also known as “Vovo’s”, was held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex on Friday, September 3, at 6.30pm.

A total of 289 people visited the 13-day “Glances of Time” exhibition, featuring work by São Tomé and Príncipe artist Guilherme Carvalho, that ended on August 4. It was part of the exhibition series “Lusophone Polychromes”, part of the 13th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

In order to promote the training of local talents as enshrined in the Policy Address of the Macao SAR Government, and to consolidate Macao’s role as a Platform, the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) signed last year a cooperation and exchange agreement with Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI).

On July 29, Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Mr Ding Tian, welcomed to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao a delegation from the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

With the aim of promoting further cooperation between enterprises of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) organised on July 27 a Webinar on Business Cooperation between Jiangsu and Portuguese-speaking Countries, themed “Business Cooperation between Enterprises from China and Portuguese-speaking Countries and Macao’s Platform Role in a Post-epidemic Era”.

The “Online Seminar on Post-Pandemic Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Portuguese-Speaking Countries” was successfully held from July 20 to 26 by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, with support from the City University of Macau.

The parallel session on “Giving full play to Macao’s role as a platform in promoting the joint implementation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries of the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative”, part of the official programme of the 12th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF), was held at the Venetian Macao’s convention and exhibition centre, on July 23.

The 17-day “10 small pieces of land, independent, in the middle of the Atlantic” exhibition, featuring work by Cabo Verdean artist Eduardo Bentub, ended on July 18. It was part of the exhibition series “Lusophone Polychromes”, part of the 13th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

The 16th Ordinary Meeting of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries was held in Macao on July 20.
