On April 22, a delegation of over 40 faculty and students from the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) at the University of Macau (UM) visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao for a discussion and exchange.
Deputy Secretary-General Xie Ying welcomed the representatives from the Department of Government and Public Administration, FSS at the UM. She introduced the development history of Forum Macao, the role of the Macao platform, the 6th Ministerial Conference of Forum Macao, and the key work of the Secretariat. The visit deepened the delegation’s understanding of Forum Macao and the Macao platform for China-Portuguese-speaking countries’ cooperation. It also enhanced their recognition of Macao’s ability to leverage its strengths, serve national needs, and integrate into the country’s overall development. Moving forward, they expressed their commitment to actively promoting mutually beneficial cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries from their respective perspectives.
Prior to the discussion, the UM faculty and students also visited the Pavilion of China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform.
