Cristina Mangue Abeso arrived in Macao on November 30 to assume her new position as the first delegate of Equatorial Guinea to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. Equatorial Guinea joined Forum Macao at the Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of Forum Macao held on April 10, 2022.

Cristina Mangue Abeso holds a master’s degree in international law. Since 2003, she has successively served as a Diplomat at the Embassies of Equatorial Guinea in Russia, Brazil, and Portugal, a Diplomat at the Directorate-General of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Deputy Chief of Protocol and Public Relations at the National Office of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, Protocol Officer of the Prime Minister’s Office, Director-General of Lusophone Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and National Coordinator of the CPLP at the ambassador level, among others. She is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.
