Coordinator Che Weng Keong

The Macao Special Administrative Region Government has approved Che Weng Keong to concurrently serve as the Coordinator of the Support Office of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) with effect from July 2025, succeeding the former Coordinator, U U Sang.

Dr Che Weng Keong has served in various departments and public institutions of the Macao SAR Government, and has successively held supervisory and leadership positions in multiple fields, including President of the Administrative Committee of the Science and Technology Development Fund, Head of the Department of Higher Education Cooperation, Science and Technology of the Higher Education Bureau and Acting Deputy Director of the Higher Education Bureau, as well as Director of the Technology Department and Acting Deputy Director of the Economy and Technology Development Bureau, among others. He currently serves as the President of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute. He is well-versed in Mainland China, Macao, and international markets, has participated in leading development initiatives involving technology industry teams from Mainland China and multiple countries, and possesses a strong international business perspective.
