A delegation from the University and the Confucius Institute at U.Porto (ICUP) participated in several events focused on cooperation in the field of Chinese language teaching.
The Porto delegation—composed of Yi Zongyong and Ludgero Cardoso, Chinese Director and Coordinator of Cultural and Pedagogical Activities at the Confucius Institute at U.Porto, respectively—had the opportunity to attend several exhibitions on how to improve Chinese language teaching through new technological tools. In Guangzhou, with José Castro Lopes, Vice-Rector for Training, Academic Organization, Health, and Well-being, leading the delegation, the University participated in the Conference of Confucius Institutes at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS).
The President of GDUFS, Yan Xiangbin, thanked all the Confucius Institutes for their contribution to the teaching of the language and the dissemination of Chinese culture. José Castro Lopes emphasized that the fruitful relationship that the two sides have maintained is now one of the most significant anchors for broader exchange and essential to the progress of Sino-Lusophone cooperation and social and economic relations between the two countries.
