In a strategic move that reinforces China's growing role in the global energy sector, China Energy Engineering Group (CEEC), through its subsidiary CEEC Brasil, announced the acquisition of three photovoltaic solar plants located in Coremas (PB), totaling 93.41 MWp of installed capacity.
The deal, valued at approximately R$ 520 million (enterprise value), marks the company's official entry into the Brazilian renewable energy market.
According to Rafael Qi, CEO of CEEC Brasil, the transaction symbolizes more than a simple acquisition of assets: it is a platform for entry into structural investments in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure in Brazil. “By expanding its business in the country, the company also reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the sustainable socioeconomic development of Brazil and China, under the strategic consensus established by the two countries and the collaborative spirit of BRICS,” he added.
