Recently, the OABRJ participated in a meeting with the delegation of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CCPPC), held at the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj). The objective was to promote the exchange of experiences on legal issues, supervisory mechanisms, and institutional prerogatives, as well as to strengthen cooperation between Brazil and China.
The meeting was led by the second vice president of Alerj and coordinator of the Brazil-China Parliamentary Front, Representative Tia Ju (Republicans). “The two countries have several issues of mutual interest, such as the application of legislation, the prerogatives of the legal profession, oversight mechanisms, and the role of society in building a fair and modern legal order,” added Representative Tia Ju.
For Xu Lingyi, director of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee and member of the CCPPC National Committee, the Brazil-China partnership has made significant progress recently, especially due to the direct actions of the presidents of both countries in areas related to trade, economy, culture, technology, and politics.
