The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) recently received a visit from representatives of the Civil Aviation University of China (CAFUC). The meeting, held at the ministry's headquarters, is the first activity planned in the memorandum of understanding signed in April this year to promote the exchange of knowledge, technologies, and experiences.
The ministry's executive secretary, Tomé Franca, considers the partnership with the Chinese university to be positive. “We need to invest in technology and innovation to stimulate the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and Cafuc has proven to be an excellent partner for developing studies with the potential to impact aviation in both countries,” he said.
The Chinese delegation's visit is part of the MPor's program linked to the decarbonization agenda and preparations for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30). For the Cafuc representative, the two countries maintain a good relationship that will help in the exchange of sustainability projects.
