China already accounts for more than 40% of Brazilian beef purchases and is likely to further increase demand for Brazilian products and those from other South American countries such as Argentina, according to the director of international business at Chinese import platform Optimize Integration Group (OIG).
She emphasized that Brazilian meat has a good reputation in the Chinese domestic market due to its ability to maintain product standardization and quality. She also noted that Brazilian producers have done an excellent job in China, supplying standardized products, and that the Chinese population is enormous, with immense market potential.
