Recently, the Chinese Ambassador to Cape Verde, Dr. Zhang Yang, chaired the seminar “China and Cape Verde, Hand in Hand, in Promoting Fair, Equitable, Open, and Win-win Modernization” More than 120 guests attended, including members of the National Assembly, representatives of the Minister of Culture, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Inforpress Agency, Radio Television of Cape Verde (RTC), the University of Cape Verde, as well as representatives of the Chinese medical team, Chinese institutions, and the Chinese community in Cape Verde.

In his speech, Ambassador Zhang Yang recalled the 49 years of diplomatic relations between China and Cape Verde, highlighting mutual political trust, pragmatic cooperation, and the results of people-to-people exchanges. He also projected the prospects for future cooperation, calling on the two countries to join forces to build an equitable and orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization that benefits all, jointly promoting fair, equitable, open, and win-win modernization.

Politicians and academics from Cape Verde shared their experiences of studying and exchanging in China, highlighting the great achievements of Chinese modernization and the importance of Sino-Cape Verdean cooperation.
