Chinese giant Huawei has made its big comeback to the Brazilian mobile phone market, revealing the prices of two luxury mobile phone models arriving in Brazil. The announcement was made at a recent event in São Paulo, where Huawei also revealed plans to open its first physical store in Brazil, although the address has not yet been disclosed. Among the two devices presented, the world's first mobile phone with a screen that folds into three parts will be priced at R$ 32,999 — the most expensive in Brazil.

Carlos Morales, Huawei's director of Institutional Relations in Latin America, acknowledged that, due to the high price, sales will not be massive. Huawei's strategy is to gain a share in the foldable smartphone segment and promote the brand, with the expectation of launching more affordable models in Brazil in the coming months.

The two foldable devices were launched in late 2024 in China, with prices lower than those in Brazil, which shows Huawei's confidence in the Brazilian high-end consumer market.
