The Maputo-Catembe Bridge in Mozambique, being built by China Road and Bridge Corp., is scheduled to be inaugurated on June 25, Macao magazine reports.
The publication quotes Empresa de Desenvolvimento de Maputo Sul EP President Silva Magaia as saying the bridge is now 97 percent complete. Empresa de Desenvolvimento de Maputo Sul is in charge of the project.
The report says the bridge, costing over US$700 million, will be the biggest suspension bridge in Africa.
The bridge will facilitate development of the Catembe area, Macao magazine says.
