The Angolan Minister of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas (MIREMPET), Diamantino Azevedo, received recently the Chinese Ambassador to Angola, Zhan Bin, in audience. According to a note consulted by Jornal de Angola Online, the meeting served to strengthen bilateral co-operation ties in the field of mineral resources, oil and gas, sectors considered strategic for both countries.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that collaboration between Angola and China in the mineral resources, oil and gas sector is strategic and robust, with China being one of the main destinations for Angolan oil exports. The consolidated partnership also includes financing for infrastructure development, the acquisition of technological resources and the strengthening of mining exploration.

The dialogue reinforced the commitment of both countries to expand technical and economic collaboration in a sustainable and mutually beneficial manner.
