The Cape Verde-China Friendship Association (AMICACHI) is holding the 12th edition of Chinese Cultural Week in Cape Verde from February 13 to 22, 2026, with activities in the cities of Praia and Mindelo, including the celebration of the Chinese New Year, this year under the sign of the Horse, a symbol of energy, ambition, and action.

According to the association, the initiative aims to promote Chinese culture in Cape Verde, enhance Cape Verdean culture, and strengthen cultural exchange between the two countries, while also contributing to the strengthening of bilateral relations in various fields, including culture, education, business, and other areas.

Among the planned activities are the Chinese New Year Gala, scheduled for this Saturday, February 14, at 7:00 p.m., at the National Auditorium in the city of Praia, and the China-Cape Verde Cultural Show, scheduled for February 21, at the Jotamonte Academy in Mindelo. Both events are free to the public.
