In China, the head of the ApexBrasil Office, Victor Queiroz, was received by the president of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE) — China's leading foreign trade entity in the medicines and health products sector —, Zhou Hui, and by the entity's vice-president, Wang Chunmao. Linked to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), the CCCMHPIE brings together more than 3,000 companies in the sector and represents one of the largest pharmaceutical markets in the world.

The meeting focused on institutional rapprochement and the identification of opportunities for co-operation in the health sector, with an emphasis on Brazilian bioactive inputs with higher added value, attracting investment and technology transfer to Brazil, with a view to strengthening the national industry.

The two parties agreed to develop, still this semester, business agendas and matchmaking initiatives, with the aim of enabling concrete investment, production and innovation projects in Brazil.
