The second edition of Café no Mercado was recently held in São Paulo, Brazil. Thirteen exhibitors, including coffee roasters and producers, presented products and production models from different regions of the country.

Event organizer Mariana Proença said that in recent years, more and more Chinese coffee brands have started to purchase products from Brazil, and that the fair has strategic significance in showcasing Brazilian brands and product diversity to the Chinese market.

Philippe, an exhibitor who has been in the industry for 20 years, said that his brand has a considerable number of Chinese customers in São Paulo. According to him, Brazilian coffee is competitive in terms of quality and diversity, while China stands out for its scale of consumption and technological conditions, and therefore the two nations have ample room for cooperation in the coffee industry chain.

Exhibitor Mark Wong pointed out that the Chinese coffee market is expanding rapidly, with consumers increasingly receptive to products from different origins and with varied flavors. “In this context, Brazil can offer more diverse options to the Chinese market, which is a very positive trend,” said Wong.
