Angola's Finance Minister, Vera Daves de Sousa, recently made a working visit to the People's Republic of China with the aim of deepening financial and economic cooperation between Luanda and Beijing.
During the mission, the finance minister participated in a ministerial meeting with her Chinese counterpart and held meetings with the Asian country's main financial institutions. The agenda also included meetings with Chinese companies that already have strategic partnerships with the Angolan state, reinforcing both countries' commitment to implementing investment and structural development projects.
In the same context, the Angolan Ministry of Finance and the Bank of China signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at deepening financial cooperation and promoting the financing of strategic projects in the economic and technological fields.
Cooperation with Chinese financial institutions is therefore a key instrument for the implementation of infrastructure, energy, and technology projects, which are central pillars of Angola's economic growth and modernization strategy.
