Recently, VLI, a logistics solutions company that operates railways, ports, and terminals, completed its first corn shipment to China via Espírito Santo, using the Miscellaneous Products Terminal (TPD) at the Port of Tubarão. To obtain certification, the TPD underwent a thorough registration process with the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Management System (Sipeagro/Mapa).
In recent years, Chinese demand for Brazilian corn has grown exponentially. In response, China has expanded its trade agreements and, starting in 2023, implemented new phytosanitary protocols, establishing strict criteria for seeds and pests.
VLI remains committed to supporting the transformation of logistics in the country through the integration of services in ports, railways, and terminals. The company encompasses the North-South (FNS) and Central-Atlantic (FCA) railways, as well as intermodal terminals and port terminals located at strategic points along the Brazilian coast.
