Brazil's Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI), Luciana Santos, recently participated in the opening of the Sino-Brazilian Seminar on Innovation, Science, and Technology — Silk Road, at the Chinese Embassy in Brasília (DF). The event brought together state secretaries of science, technology, and innovation, other authorities, business representatives, and experts to discuss artificial intelligence, technology parks, and opportunities for cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.
The minister highlighted the importance of integration between the two countries. “It is an honor to participate in this Sino-Brazilian Seminar on Innovation, Science, and Technology — Silk Road, which symbolizes the strength of South-South integration and an even more promising future for our economies and societies,” said the minister.
China's ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, stressed the importance of bilateral partnership and strategic convergence between the countries. “The aim of the event is to integrate science, technology, and innovation into the broader project of high-level bilateral cooperation and transform results into concrete benefits,” he said.
