Recently, Mayor Eduardo Campos received an delegation from China composed of the advisor to the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, Sun Yan, and representatives of the Chinese community on the border. 

During the meeting, the mayor highlighted the strong presence of the Chinese community in the border region with Pedro Juan Caballero and praised the solidarity shown by Chinese businesspeople in times of crisis. “When Rio Grande do Sul faced floods last year, we received important donations from the Chinese community. This attitude strengthens the relationship of friendship and trust between our peoples,” said Campos.

The representatives of the Chinese Embassy thanked him for his hospitality and reiterated China’s commitment to promoting integration with local communities.
