Starting on the 25th, Air China expanded its codeshare agreement with Latam Airlines to include eight domestic routes departing from São Paulo International Airport. This allows the Chinese carrier to sell seats on its Brazilian partner’s flights to Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Foz do Iguaçu, Manaus, Porto Alegre, and Rio de Janeiro (GIG).
The strategic partnership aims to enhance Air China’s connectivity within Brazil, making it easier for passengers arriving from Beijing and other Asian cities to reach regional hubs across the country. The agreement follows the global trend of strengthening alliances and codeshare arrangements as a way to optimize route networks and reduce operational costs.
Air China will operate an additional flight between Beijing and São Paulo, with a stopover in Madrid, starting on July 29. Until August 27, the new frequency will bring the route to four weekly flights, reinforcing air connectivity between Asia, Europe, and South America.
