Recently, in Nanchang, China, a delegation of state deputies held talks with executives from JMEV, a Chinese electric car company. The goal was to present a proposal to establish a factory in Santa Catarina.

During the meeting, the representatives highlighted the potential of Santa Catarina’s economy, especially in the areas of technology, metalworking, and startups. Additionally, these characteristics align with JMEV’s expansion in the electric vehicle sector. The lawmakers also emphasized the environmental importance of this installation.

Last month, JMEV representatives visited Santa Catarina to discuss this possible installation. As a major player in China's renewable energy vehicle sector, JMEV produces around 100,000 electric cars per year. It recently announced a partnership with E-Motors to produce a manual electric car in Brazil, the JMEV EV3, aimed at driving schools.
